The well-known logo with the castle in a triangle has been around since 1897. At the tender age of 22, Douwe Gaastra opened his very first sailmaking shop in a small Dutch town with the aim of making sailing even faster and more efficient. After just a short time, this name was a big name in the global sailing world. Since the 1980s, Gaastra has been one of the leading brands of windsurfing sails - with which legends such as Robby Naish and Pete Cabrinha have already won victories.

GAASTRA is now involved everywhere - there is clothing, kites, harnesses, wetsuits and much more. Let's see if the new logo catches on - the towers (the landmark) are gone and Gaastra has become GA Sails.
