GOTS — certification

WHAT IS GOTS AND WHAT DOES THE CERTIFICATION MEAN?

The Global Organic Textile Standard is the world's leading processing standard for

Textiles made from controlled organically produced raw materials with a natural fiber content of at least 70%. It includes strict environmental and social criteria for all companies along the textile supply chain. The aim of the standard is to establish a globally uniform, controllable, social and ecological standard that covers the entire textile production chain and makes it traceable. This means that every single step of the textile supply chain is verifiably and traceably certified on an ecological and social level.

GOTS STANDS FOR THE SUSTAINABLE PROCESSING OF ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton from controlled organic cultivation (kbA) is a protected term and refers to the cultivation of natural raw materials in accordance with the regulations of organic farming. Compliance with the requirements for organic cultivation is checked annually by independent certification bodies. The GOTS standard begins directly with the further processing of the picked organic cotton.

We also support GOTS in Conversion.

This is organic cotton from cotton fields that are currently undergoing conversion from conventional to organic farming. This supports farmers in the conversion process and increases the amount of organic cotton on the market in the long term.

The corresponding articles are provided with the special GOTS in Conversion seal.
